Save the Date

The time has come for Spring entertaining planning to commence! We are loving all white linens with either white on white embroidery, or delicate hand-stitched flowers with a monogram. Blue + white is a theme, along with splashes of orange and gold…

Famous Notes

Letters of Note is a book we discovered last year at London’s recently opened The Beaumont Hotel, and now keep it on every guest bedside table. Reading letters from people like Gandhi, Virginia Wolf and John Lennon is beyond interesting! Edited by Shaun Usher, he also has Lists of Note and a blog called Letterheady that contains hundreds of letterheads from well known people. Since we love anything bespoke at ILINKA Collection, we compiled a selection of famous letterheads worth seeing…

Breakfast in Bed

What do mom’s really want for Mother’s Day?   We desire everyday moments like a long, relaxing bath; sleeping in; reading a magazine without interruption; and the very coveted breakfast in bed – all simple, yet special and rare. And of course bespoke IC bedding, towels and table linens make beautiful, personal and very useful gifts to enhance these experiences. Who wouldn’t mind being surprised in bed with chocolate croissants, fresh juice, coffee and monogrammed napkins wrapped in a ribbon [hint, hint]?

Fall Florals

Embroidered flowers and floral prints are what we loved from the Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 runways. Possibly because it reminds us of our hand embroidered floral tablecloths? See our runway picks of fall florals fit for the most divine tablescapes….

If These Walls Could Talk

From flooding the courtyard with 4 feet of water to recreate Venice for a millionaire’s “Gondala Party” in the late 1800s, to being London’s first hotel lit with electricity – The Savoy has been around. Their rooms have been graced with the presence of everyone who’s anyone from the worlds of fashion, music, film, science and politics.

Brief History: The Savoy was the first luxury hotel in Britain and is known as “London’s most famous hotel” still to this day. Built by impresario Richard D’Oyly Carte, it was the first in the Savoy group of hotels and restaurants to open its doors on August 6, 1889. Curious for a more in depth historical read? Look here.

And now, a visual tour of iconic moments and people at the Savoy…

Super Comeback

One of our favourite bespoke requests thus far was a Superman monogrammed pillow. We loved it so much we keep one in our studio on display; because let’s be honest – Superheroes remain cool at any age. Stella and Anya seem to agree too…
